The Project

The CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.1bn M6 Stage 1 project.  The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney’s south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities.

With works commenced in early 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah.

The Opportunity

We are looking a GIS Analyst to join our Design and Engineering team on the M6 Stage 1 project.

Key Accountabilities

Based in Mascot, the GIS Analyst will be accountable for:

  • Providing technical support to the construction team (data collection, mapping, analysis)
  • Assisting in the deployment of GIS capabilities
  • Maintaining and continuously improving web mapping applications
  • Producing maps, data and reports for internal and external clients
  • Conducting GIS audits to maintain data integrity

About You

  • Use and experience of GIS applications (ArcGIS pro, ArcGIS Enterprise and Geocortex Essentials)
  • Knowledge of Python
  • Previous experience in construction projects would be well-regarded
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team

The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
