About North East Link 

 

The Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver the Central Package of the North East Link Project - Victoria's biggest road project.

 

The Spark Consortium’s Design and Construction Contractor - which comprises Webuild, CPB Contractors, GS Engineering and Construction and China Construction Oceania - will deliver the twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.

 

The Central Package will be delivered as a Public Private Partnership and provides three-lane twin tunnels that will close the missing link in Melbourne’s freeway network from the M80 Ring Road to an upgraded Eastern Freeway, reducing journey times and diverting heavy vehicles away from local roads. Up to 135,000 vehicles will use North East Link every day, reducing congestion in the north-east while maintaining local roads.

 

About the Opportunity

Are you passionate about raising the bar for quality standards? We're seeking a dynamic Quality Advisor to drive a culture of continuous improvement and ensure exceptional deliverables.

 

Your responsibility will be to develop and maintain the project Quality plan, system, and records in compliance with the Project Management Plan. In addition, you must build a relationship with the Project Governance and Compliance Team, Nominated Authority and the Sub-IREA. 

 

This role will be accountable for:

  • Inspection surveillance of off-site vendors and coordination of third-party inspection services.
  • Preparation of Quality Management System documentation such as procedures, check lists and inspection & test plans for the allocated products.
  • Managing process of Non-Conformance Reporting ensuring key KPI’s are met and satisfy industry specifications and client contract.
  • Assist Quality Manager with the creation of ITP’s per Product type, Checklists and Quality Advisor related documentation including but not limited to ITP’s, quality control checklists, work Instructions / Procedures, lot tracking registers, NCR Register, quality alerts, quality facts, right first-time measurements and reporting, uploading documents into project required Aconex system.
  • Communicating and distributing quality processes
  • Prepare & consolidate quality data including but not limited to: generation of lot documents, establishment of daily lot system for production targets, report & follow up of NCR’s, material certificates, supplier & subcontractor inspections /surveillance visits, prepare or response to internal or external audits
  • Ensure equipment is kept calibrated at all times within delegated working area.
  • Performing internal audits in accordance with the internal audit schedule
  • Collating, compiling, reporting and reviewing quality data, statistics and records for respective work activities
  • Development and Maintenance of registers (document, mix design, calibration
  • etc.)

 

 

Minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role on a medium to large scale project
  • Experience in supplying products to high value projects (in excess of $20 million
  • Experience attending hold point inspections and authorising their release as required
  • Right first time approach / mentality
  • Strong personal organisation skills
  • Time management skills in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
