The primary purpose of this position is always evolving but it provides support in assisting the Group Manager, Corporate Development in M&A, structured finance and delivery of the Early Payment Program.

The Opportunity

The opportunity provides you with a chance to get a wide range of exposure in the corporate development space gaining experience in mergers & acquisitions (with CIMIC) and structured finance as well providing analytical support for various areas of the business and assisting in the delivery of the Early Payment Program to suppliers.

Reporting to the Group Manager, Corporate Development, the role of the Analyst, Corporate Development and Treasury will be to:

  • Assist with providing a support role, assisting the Group Manager Corporate Development and CPB SCF Project Manager to deliver and administer CPB’s Early Payment Program, including functioning as a liaison point for suppliers, BUs and projects, negotiating with suppliers, ongoing reporting for the Program, assisting with day to day back-office activities and other tasks related to the program.
  • Provision of analytical support for corporate development and treasury activities, including financial analysis and modelling with respect to structured finance initiatives, mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and other treasury activities
  • monitoring of industry developments, economic drivers and competitor activity, research and due diligence and preparation of presentations and Board papers to key stakeholders
  • Assist in the delivery and management of key treasury projects as required, including liaising with key internal stakeholders, assisting in the preparation of business cases, options analysis, implementation of findings and administering change management activities

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Degree qualified, preferably in finance and / or accounting
  • CPA or CA completed or in progress (viewed favourably)
  • Knowledge of key finance concepts, particularly in relation to treasury and financing activities
  • Advanced Excel, Powerpoint and Word capability and the ability to create meaningful presentations to sophisticated audiences
  • Exposure to Supply chain finance would be favourably viewed
  • Analytical skills, e.g. interpret AP datasets
  • Intelligent research capabilities to critically analyse available information
