The Project

An Alliance of CPB Contractors, Bombardier Transportation and Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) will deliver the $1 billion Rail Systems Alliance package of works, which includes the first roll-out of a high capacity signalling and communications system on an existing rail network anywhere in Australia.

Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join us on the RSA Project in Melbourne. Reporting to the Heads Contracts Lead, you will support the Lead to protect CPB Contractors interests in the management of the commercial, contractual and claim aspects of the Alliance and supplier Contract(s).

You will be responsible to primarily manage and monitor claims, variations, extension of time and other contractual notices both upstream under the Project Alliance Agreement and downstream to suppliers. Other aspects of the role will include preparation/review of monthly payment claims, monitoring the risk & opportunity register and clear understanding on the contract framework for the project.

The role will require thorough attention to detail and good organization skills.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Bachelor of Business / Law / Communications
  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant role
  • Experience with working in a a multicultural environment (e.g. working in international teams, international projects etc)
  • Understanding of complex contract structures (including alliancing) and preferably previous experience administering a like contract
  • Experience working in a joint venture, consortium or alliance project previously
  • Cross-functional experience either in Quality, Contracts & Legal, Procurement, Engineering or Operations
