The Project:

The purpose of the TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is to build the capability and capacity of TasWater to fulfil its customer promises for improved service levels by efficiently and effectively delivering an accelerated capital program of works. 
The TasWater CDO will deliver:

  • Opportunities for people to grow and develop
  • Economic benefits and growth opportunities for local industry
  • Improved safety outcomes
  • Capacity and capability to transition the program back to TasWater post-TasWater CDO
  • The necessary framework for emergent projects

Your Opportunity:

The TasWater CDO has an opportunity for a Quality Coordinator to

  • collaboratively implement quality control and assurance activities at every stage of business processes from product planning and construction through commissioning, all the way to handover
  • reinforce the project quality management system to ensure quality of product, enabling continuous improvement of quality and prevention of quality-related problems
  • advocate a quality culture that continually seeks to improve the quality of its products and services
  • achieve quality levels that satisfy our client’s needs and expectations

The Quality Coordinator will be accountable for:

  • establishment of the construction lot management system
  • establish and maintain a mobility ‘in field’ quality control system
  • develop construction methodology documentation schedule
  • prepare and review ITPs and checklists
  • assist with the development of Work Package Management Plans

Our minimum requirements for this role is:

  • 5 years engineering or construction experience
  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management is desirable
  • Lead Quality Auditor accreditation
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer is desirable
  • Systems development in quality control and mobility application

This role is based in Hobart, Tasmania. For those outside of Tasmania, relocation is required. An attractive relocation package will be made available to the successful applicants.
