The primary purpose of this position is to support the Plant and Assets team with technical engineering solutions and assistance.

Your Opportunity

As Mobile Assets Engineer, reporting to the Group Plant Manager you will be a member of the CPB Plant and Assets team at the Brisbane HQ office in Fortitude Valley QLD and be accountable for:

  • Generating accurate plant hire rates for existing jobs and new tenders, including the standardization of rates where practical.
  • Assisting with BU tender teams in collation and assembling of like for like plant rate assessments across external/ internal hire and subcontract suppliers.
  • Developing and maintaining fleet replacement forecasts.
  • Assisting in development of business cases for replacement and new asset purchases, focusing on providing cost-effective and innovative solutions.
  • Developing and Maintaining system data integrity and processes and procedures that ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant company business standards, processes and Group policies
  • Providing planning and scheduling support as required.

    Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Mechanical)
  • Good understanding of Industry Safety Standards
  • Strong understanding of "Whole of Life" Asset Management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Exposure to mobile assets in a Civil Environment
  • Strong understanding of technologies within the Construction Industry.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
