About the role
Due to the growth of the NSW business, a new opportunity has arisen for a Diversity & Inclusion Advisor to support Thiess’ New South Wales projects, based in the Hunter Valley. The role will report to the People & Capability Manager for New South Wales.
The successful applicant will join a passionate and energetic team where they will be responsible for providing specialist advice, support and assistance to Thiess’ mining operations in relation to the implementation of their diversity and inclusion strategy. The role will also provide counsel and support to the business on delivering the diversity and inclusion plans including their Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and Gender Diversity Strategic Plans across all New South Wales operations.
The successful candidate will possess a profound knowledge of diversity and inclusion and have firsthand practical experience in developing, implementing and rolling out diversity and inclusion strategies within medium to large organisations. Strong project management, people and problem-solving skills are critical to success in this role.
We are also looking for candidates who have experience working with and possess a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their cultures.
