The opportunity

We are currently seeking to engage an experienced Utilities Manager to join our NSW & ACT Pre-contracts team. You will co-ordinate and manage all utility and strategic pipeline providers on a project by project basis to ensure compliance to design standards and delivery within time-frames.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Act as the authorised contact person for communications between CPB Contractors and utility and service providers on interface management matters
  • Maintain current copies of Safety Management Plans and Work Method Statements
  • Ensure safety control measures are in established and maintained in compliance with the Safety Management and Utilities Management Plans and relevant utility client specifications and standards
  • Carry out inspections and audits on utilities and pipeline works
  • Ensure site personnel including contractors have appropriate training and qualifications
  • Provide notification to owners of pipelines and utilities of any shutdown works

Ideally you should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Engineers Australia membership
  • Evidence of managing/co-ordinating compliant design and approval of utility diversions
  • Experience in a utilities role on a construction project
  • Strong understanding of safety management plans, process and work method statements
  • Demonstrated experience in on-site auditing processes
  • Strong communication and planning skills
  • Demonstrated safety behaviour
