Your Opportunity

As a result of growth in our works that form part of the Taxiway Mike and Remote Stands Stage 2 Project, an Electrical Engineer is required to join our  Mechanical & Electrical Team at Auckland Airport.

The scope of works includes the supply and installation of utilities including aircraft ground lighting (AGL) DC system, Power Control Centres, and HV and LV electrical systems across the AIAL network

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Engineering Services Manager you will..

  • Direct the day to day activities of all electrical works on the Project.
  • Be fully conversant with the intent and application of AS/NZS electrical equipment and installation standards such as AS/NZS 3000 & AS/NZS 3439.
  • Ensure that all electrical works follow CPB safety essentials.
  • Ensure correct design interpretation for all electrical supply, installation and testing.
  • Support and Lead as required preparation and delivery of electrical ITP’s and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare, review and authorise when appropriate installation documentation and workpacks.
  • Attend and support project-wide planning and coordination meetings through cross-discipline integration

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering/Electrical or similar

Skills & Experience:

To be considered for this role you will ideally have:

  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience managing the installation of HV and LV electrical systems to AS/NZS standards
  • Civil construction project experience
  • Experience in managing electrical installation sub-contractors.
  • Experience in commissioning electrical equipment and systems.
  • Exposure to Airfield works works highly desirable, particularly Aircraft Ground Lighting
  • Design and produce electrical drawings, schematic diagrams, Site plans etc
