We are seeking to appoint a highly experienced Logistics Coordinator join the project team on Sydney Metro City & Southwest Pitt Street Station which will provide a 250-metre-long underground Pitt Street Station running from Park Street to Bathurst St, between Pitt and Castlereagh Streets, connecting the two station entries with retail and other commercial facilities.

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this role will support the construction teams and logistics for the construction of this major project and to manage the day to day coming and going of materials to the site through our construction zones. Must have good communication skills to manage to interaction with stakeholders and general public associated with the projects location in the CBD.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipment on the project.
  • Operation of a materials control system for site and ensure adherence to relevant company policies and procedures, to provide continuous control of all materials and equipment from receipt at the site to final issuance.
  • Coordination and resourcing for the operation of plant i.e.cranes, hoists and forklifts.
  • Coordination and resourcing of traffic control teams.   
  • Liaise with personnel to assist in coordination for the safe and timely delivery of the equipment and materials on site.
  • Supervise the running of site amenities which will include construction, maintaining and relocation as needed.
  • Supervise the construction zones which will involve, traffic control, security etc.
  • Safe operation of  plant including the loading and unloading of vehicles, trucks, containers and racking.
  • Determine and report in overages, shortages, non-conforming and damaged materials and equipment and material returns.
  • Perform or assist in ongoing audits of storage facilities indoor and outdoor to ensure appropriate care and custody of materials is maintained, in line with vendor requirements.
  • Deliver quality services and demonstrate a commitment to understand and meet customer needs. 
  • Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to achieving Safety Goal Zero
  • Flexibility to prioritise work as required.

  • Advanced Rigger Ticket
  • Traffic control ticket.
  • Prior experience in a similar position on a large construction project
  • Experience in supervising site amenity trades
  • High focus on safety
  • Dogger ticket
  • Forklift Ticket
  • Construction White Card
