Executive Assistant to Chief Merchandise Officer and Chief Product Officer
Myer is searching for an exceptional C-Suite Executive Assistant to provide high level strategic, administrative, and confidential support to both our Chief Merchandise Officer (CMO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO). This is a rare opportunity to partner directly with two of our most influential leaders and play a pivotal role in driving the success of our Merchandise and Product portfolios.
As the Executive Assistant, you will be the force that enables our executives to operate at peak performance ensuring focus, clarity, and efficiency across two fast-paced, high-impact portfolios. You’ll coordinate seamlessly across teams, streamline operations, and help ensure key business objectives are delivered with excellence.
Working directly with both the CMO and CPO, you’ll anticipate needs, manage complexity with ease, and keep the wheels turning smoothly behind the scenes. You will also provide dotted-line leadership to three Executive Assistants who support the broader leadership teams, ensuring consistency, alignment, and exceptional support across the portfolios.
We’re looking for a proactive, solutions-oriented professional who brings a positive attitude, thrives working both independently and collaboratively, and builds strong, trusted relationships at every level. You will also play a key role within the Merchandise leadership team, identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen workflows, and enhance operational effectiveness.
What You Can Expect:
- Join a values-driven, dynamic, and highly experienced team
- Become the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders across the Merchandise and Product portfolios
- Enjoy flexible hybrid working, with our centrally located Docklands office and work-from-home options
If you're ready to make a meaningful impact, support two powerhouse leaders, and elevate your career within one of Australia’s most iconic brands, we’d love to hear from you.
About the role:
- You will provide seamless, end-to-end administrative support to the Chief Merchandise Officer (CMO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO), ensuring their time, priorities, and obligations are managed effectively. This includes complex diary and inbox management, preparing briefing materials, coordinating meetings and travel, and handling confidential correspondence with discretion. From time to time, this role may require occasional after-hours work to address genuine urgent business needs.
- Using strong commercial awareness and sound judgement, you’ll anticipate needs, identify potential risks, and proactively manage shifting priorities. Your ability to connect information across both portfolios will support alignment, efficiency, and forward planning.
- You will provide leadership and coordination to a team of Executive Assistants, ensuring high-quality, consistent support across the wider leadership groups. You’ll foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- As a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, you will represent the office with professionalism and credibility. You’ll cultivate trusted relationships at all levels — from board members and senior leaders to external partners and cross-functional teams.
- You will play a critical role in streamlining processes, improving administrative workflows, and enabling effective time and resource management. This includes preparing reports and presentations, managing budgets and expenses, and supporting operational initiatives across the Merchandise and Product portfolios.
- You’ll draft and coordinate executive-level communications and support the planning and delivery of important business events, including leadership offsites, strategic planning sessions, town halls and sample sales.
- You will contribute to key transformation initiatives by managing sensitive information, supporting communication flows, and maintaining operational momentum across both portfolios.
- During peak periods or critical business activities, you will step in to support other members of the Executive Management Team, ensuring continuity and high-quality delivery across the organisation.
About you:
- With 5+ years supporting C-Suite executives, you know how to stay two steps ahead, juggle competing priorities, and create calm in the middle of complexity.
- You’re an experienced Executive Assistant who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and takes real pride in helping senior leaders perform at their best.
- Ideally, you’ve supported leaders in Merchandise or a similar commercial environment, and you’re confident leading or coordinating others when needed. You’re someone people trust, a natural relationship-builder who can work seamlessly with senior stakeholders, handle sensitive information with absolute discretion, and exercise exceptional judgement.
- You are commercially savvy and curious, you understand how businesses operate and can quickly connect the dots to anticipate what’s coming next. You’re comfortable navigating change, ambiguity, and shifting priorities, and you bring a steady, solutions-focused approach to every challenge.
- You’re highly skilled in Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint and your communication skills (both written and verbal) set you apart. Detail matters to you, and it shows.
- Most importantly, you bring a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, high-performing team.
- Experience in large, complex, or publicly listed organisations is a bonus, and if you’ve worked in retail, even better — but it’s not essential.
Benefits to you:
- Generous team member discounts on all Myer Group products, including team member exclusive discounts
- Access to lifestyle leave and volunteer leave – arrange work around your life, not life around work!
- A supportive leadership and Executive Assistant network to set you up for success
- Supportive & ongoing access to development opportunities to bring out the best of you!
We’d love to hear from you even if you don’t meet all the criteria listed above.
