MYER is looking for a passionate and inquisitive Cyber Security Analyst to join our existing cyber security team. This position will play a key role in supporting the broader cyber and technology teams ensure that our systems and data remain safe and secure. The role of cyber analyst within Myer plays a key role in promoting great cyber hygiene practices and delivering education and information across our user community to build a cyber-conscious workforce.

About the role:
- Operate and proactively maintain Security Support Tools such as EDR, email security platforms, vulnerability management systems, CASB, SIEM, threat Intelligence services, CNAPP etc.
- Provide consistent and transparent reporting on threats, risks and vulnerabilities impacting Myer.
- Deliver against vulnerability remediation initiatives, providing clear status updates and ensuring alignment on approach and prioritisation
- Accountable for detection, response and remediation of Security incidents and alerts
- Drive the Myer Information Training and awareness program and phishing simulations, ensuring communications are clear, appropriate, and engaging.
- Perform threat analysis on any vulnerabilities found to distinguish real threats and priorities
- Support internal and external audit activities, ensuring accurate compliance with security standards.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure security tools, controls and processes are effectively deployed and maintained across the organisation.
- Maintain and update security documentation, including SOPs, operational runbooks, and incident response playbooks, in partnership with security team members and external partners.
About you:
- Willingness to learn and open to a challenge
- Computer Science related degree, along with relevant industry certifications such as CEH
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in security support tools, security incident detection and threat analysis
- Strong knowledge and clear understanding of Cybersecurity concepts including cloud security
- Familiarity of Multi Cloud environments, IAM Azure AD (essential) and O365
- Basic understanding of scripting language
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style dependant on audience and articulate cyber risk in a language the business understands.
