What does the job look like?

We are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Manager to join our Resources & Industrial team. Reporting to the General Manager, this pivotal role is responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of multiple customer contracts, ensuring compliance with Linfox policies, legislative obligations, and customer requirements. You will also play a key role in supporting the growth and development of our customer contracts and business sector in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial and financial aspects of multiple customer contracts, ensuring compliance and accurate billing.
  • Identify and analyse new business opportunities, develop proposals, and present business cases to leadership.
  • Oversee customer reviews, renewals, and implement processes to optimise revenue and contract performance.
  • Support managers in understanding financial drivers and performance, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead, develop, and support stakeholders, ensuring training, competency, and positive workplace culture.


About You:

You are a commercially astute leader with a strong background in transport, logistics, or a similar industry. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about driving financial performance and building strong customer relationships.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business or Engineering with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar commercial management role.
  • Strong business analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and hands-on approach.
  • Proven experience in safety leadership and risk management, ideally applied in the Transport & Logistics industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage profit and loss, and all financial and commercial aspects of a business.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to manage diverse relationships, and to drive results.
  • Familiarity with SAP and a strong systems background.
