What does the job look like?

The Inventory Controller will be responsible for the coordination of all inventory usage and storage requirements at the site, in line with company budgets and plans. The successful candidate will report daily to the Inventory Manager and will work towards increasing company profitability by efficiently and effectively managing inventory-related activities, stock accuracy, and product integrity.

The role is also responsible for managing and investigating customer complaints, driving timely resolutions, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the process. This is a permanent full-time day shift role, with hours of work Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm. Key areas:

  • Monitor inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical stocktakes
  • Ensure accurate quantity data is maintained in the inventory management system and update as required
  • Perform daily reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain stock accuracy
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting from company and customer systems
  • Identify and resolve issues impacting inventory accuracy
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment, supporting an injury-free workplace

You can demonstrate:

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal, with exceptional collaboration and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in computer literacy with expertise in WMS, Microsoft suite - Excel for reporting.
  • Proficiency in SAP highly regarded
  • Analytical, methodical and process driven with strong skills in influencing internal/external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and positive can-do attitude as well as self-motivation.
  • Ability to drive results and processes whilst managing people effectively to follow the processes.
