What does the job look like?

Linfox is seeking an experienced HC Truck Driver to join our team in Townsville, QLD. In this role, you will completing local and regional deliveries throughout the Townsville region, including runs north to Ingham and south to Ayr.  This is a casual day shift position working Monday to Friday, typically from 6:00am to 2:00pm, with daily overtime opportunities, weekends and public holidays.

This is a hands-on role that combines driving with physically demanding freight operations. Drivers are required to assist with loading and unloading containerised freight using electric pallet jacks, pallet jacks and manual handling techniques.

Key Areas:

• Driving to Linfox Safety Standards at all times and ensuring that Vision Zero is a daily focus
• Available to work a consistent roster Monday to Friday on day shift plus reasonable overtime
• Safely transporting containerised freight to stores & D.C's while complying with Linfox's coupling and uncoupling procedures
• Ability to work & communicate effectively with team members, managers & customers on a day-to-day basis
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and road transport compliance requirements

• Current and valid HC Licence
• Solid driving history with a strong safety focus
• Experience operating prime movers in local and regional transport environments
• Familiarity with Townsville metro area
• Responsible manual handling experience
• Commitment to safe work practices and workplace procedures
• Strong customer service and communication skills
