About the role:

Aurizon is currently looking for a qualified Electrical Tradesperson (Locomotive Maintainer) to join our Willowburn maintenance depot in Toowoomba for a 12 month fixed term contract. Working on Locomotives within a well organised workshop this is a great opportunity to be part of a stable organisation that values both its people and safety alike. Working a rotating roster, you will get the unique experience to work on our locomotive fleet and have great work / life balance.

You will be responsible for:

• Performing complex troubleshooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock.
• Utilising and inputting accurate data into information and maintenance management systems (SAP).
• Assisting with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the area to enhance customer service.

About you:

• Must hold an Electrical Trade Certificate.
• A strong commitment to safety and the “I Know Safe, I choose Safe” principal.
• Heavy industry maintenance background highly regarded.
• Mobile Plant equipment experience (preferred).
• High level skill in trouble shooting, fault rectification & preventative maintenance of rollingstock (preferred).
• Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings
• Sound computer literacy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
