About the Role:

Aurizon Port Services is expanding operations in Port Pirie, and we are seeking multiple Casual Logistics Operators to safely and efficiently handle the movement and storage of cargo at our Port Pirie site. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Australian rail and port operations. This role involves:

  • Warehousing, bundling, and wrapping of cargo.
  • Loading and unloading containers, trucks, and trains.
  • Stacking and storing cargo as per yard requirements.
  • Providing accurate and timely information to clerical staff.
  • Operating forklifts, reach stackers, and front-end loaders (training provided if required).
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of assigned machinery and ensuring a safe, organized work environment.
  • Adhering to company policies, safety procedures, and reporting requirements.

About you: 

We are seeking individuals who have:

  • Ability to obtain Maritime Safety Identification Card (MSIC) – Mandatory
  • Experience in warehousing, distribution, or general labouring.
  • Understanding of safe work procedures and logistics operations.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain an organised work environment.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and inventory tracking.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential out-of-hours shifts.

Desirable but Not Essential:

  • High-risk licenses (Forklift, Reach Stacker, Front-End Loader) – training provided if required.
  • Trade Certificate or Certificate III in Training & Assessment, Frontline Management, or WHS.
  • Experience in logistics/transport.
  • Experience operating heavy machinery and conducting safety assessments (JSEAs or similar).

Please Note: Successful applicants must pass pre-employment checks, including a medical. These roles are not offered as FIFO/DIDO positions.
