Are you a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build your career in safety and risk management? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team supporting safety strategy and continuous improvement across a complex operational environment.
This role will see you provide a range of analytical and operational support across the Safety, Health, Environment and Learning (SHEL) division. Reporting to the Principal – Regulation and Accreditation, your focus will be on supporting enterprise-wide daily and periodic reporting to meet regulatory requirements, safety improvement activities, safety management system (SMS) documentation and risk & assurance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support safety reporting and analytics functions to ensure high data quality and integrity
- Conduct regular safety performance reporting using appropriate tools and platforms
- Assist with reviewing and updating Safety Management System (SMS) documentation
- Support site-based and detailed safety-related activities aligned with the safety strategy
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of enterprise-wide safety initiatives
- Assist with risk and assurance activities across the function
- Provide general support to Managers and Principals across the SHEL team
- Contribute to a collaborative and accountable team culture
You’re an early-career professional with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in safety, systems, and continuous improvement. You’re someone who’s proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and operational teams.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of post-graduate experience in a relevant analyst or safety support role
- Degree qualification in safety, science, engineering, or a related discipline
- Understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Basic knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory safety requirements
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Solid organisational and time management abilities
- A proactive mindset – comfortable with following up and driving tasks to completion
