SPOTLESS, a Downer company, hold 3 long term Facilities Management contracts with the New Zealand Defence force. This involves the facilities management and delivery to four defence sites - Linton and Waiouru army camps, Ohakea air base in the central North Island as well as Burnham camp in the South Island. The National Army museum at Waiouru is also included as well as a number of smaller sites. This contract underpins the provision of availability of facilities to support a core Government services.

About the Role:
Opportunity for an Asset Inspector or a qualified tradesperson looking to move off the tools with experience within facilities management or asset maintenance.
This is a key role in a diverse military environment with a focus on asset inspection, condition appraisals and management of asset data resulting in strategic Whole of Life asset management outcomes.
Reporting to the Asset & Programme Manager responsibilities include the preparation of reports on all issues affecting asset condition assessment highlighting causes, risks and potential solutions so the successful candidate will need to plan, organise, and prioritise your work to meet strict deadlines and provide timely and accurate information to all stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in understanding and applying safe working practices
- Practically minded with basic mechanical or electrical skills preferred
- Well-developed communication skills and able to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
- Intermediate level computer skills essential or SPM software experience a significant advantage
