As South Australia’s electricity distributor, SA Power Networks builds and maintains the poles, wires and substations that deliver power expertly and safely to South Australian’s.

Powerline and Electrical apprenticeships are currently available in Adelaide metropolitan areas (Metro South, Metro North and Metro Central).

Powerline apprenticeships are also available in the following Country areas/depots:

  • Port Augusta
  • Port Pirie
  • Cleve
  • Barmera
  • Mt Gambier
  • Yorketown

SA Power Networks will accept applications for only one type of apprenticeship and at only one location. 

Essential Criteria:

  • Current drivers licence
  • The right to work in Australia (as an Australian citizen or permanent resident)
  • Unwavering commitment to safety and quality

Applications close 22nd September 2019.

If shortlisted, applicants will need to be prepared to undertake aptitude testing, interviews, a pre-employment medical, heights and dexterity testing and a police background check.

Applicants will also need to be available for interviews at the local SA Power Networks Depot during October 2019.

All apprenticeships will commence on Monday 3 February 2020.
