The Opportunity

Join our dynamic team as a Research Fellow in Health & Climate, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Planetary Health Division and the Health and Climate Initiative. In this position, you will be at the forefront of developing and translating research that addresses health issues arising from the impacts of climate change.

The Research Fellow will foster collaboration among researchers to identify, mitigate and adapt to the health impacts of climate change. Responsibilities include developing new research projects, implementing strategies for sustainable healthcare, identifying priority knowledge gaps and mentoring students. Additionally, the Research Fellow will advance the Initiative’s mission through conference papers, seminar presentations, publications and supervising research-support staff.

We are seeking candidates with a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualifications or research experience in health research or healthcare delivery. The ideal candidate must have a strong record of publications, conference papers and grant contributions relevant to planetary health, climate and health or public health. Experience with research data collection software and a thorough understanding of ethical research principles are also essential.
