The Opportunity
Reporting to the Group Manager, Strategy, Innovation and Capability, the focus of this role will be to advance the Faculty of Engineering's Indigenous Strategy which includes cultural awareness and safety, community engagement, supporting embedding Indigenous knowledge into the Engineering curriculum.
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for fostering cultural awareness and understanding, building meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and supporting initiatives that embed Indigenous knowledge and perspectives into the Faculty’s operations. You will work with William Cooper Institute and Faculty staff to deliver impactful programs, outreach initiatives, and events aligned with the Faculty’s strategic priorities. These programs include Victorian Indigenous Engineering Winter School (VIEWS) and supporting William Cooper Institute Initiatives.
The appointee will have:
● A degree qualification in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience; or
● extensive experience and project management expertise; or
● an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
