The Opportunity
Join our team as a Research Fellow and contribute to a large-scale MRFF-funded project led by the Monash-Epworth Rehabilitation Research Centre (MERRC). This project aims to enhance care for individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and their families by identifying their needs and implementing cognitive and psychosocial guidelines. Working closely with project investigators and stakeholders, the Research Fellow will play a vital role in mapping services and conducting interviews with healthcare providers, people with TBI and their families across Australia, with a particular focus on rural communities.
This position offers the chance to be part of high-impact research in a supportive and collaborative environment and will work within a multidisciplinary team to achieve key project milestones while building a strong research profile through conference papers and publications. The role may also include participation in professional activities such as conferences and seminars to further develop expertise. With access to leading experts and stakeholders, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to research that directly informs healthcare practices for individuals with TBI.
Applicants should hold an honours degree or higher qualifications in a relevant discipline or have equivalent research experience. Strong skills in data analysis and manuscript preparation are essential, along with experience conducting qualitative interviews with individuals affected by brain injury. The ability to write and submit grant applications will also be highly valued.
This is an exciting opportunity to advance your research career while making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals with TBI and their families. If you are passionate about improving healthcare outcomes and have the skills and experience to contribute to this important work we encourage you to apply.
