The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Post-doctoral Research Fellow for a Level B research-only position. This role is part of an exciting project titled "The Dynamics of Agricultural Innovation in North India." As a Research Fellow, you will engage in independent and collaborative research, focusing on agricultural technology adoption in India.

This project offers unique data collection opportunities, including large-scale agricultural household surveys, measurement experiments (such as DNA fingerprinting for plant variety identification), and impact studies on various agricultural innovations.

Your key responsibilities will include research design, fieldwork, and data analysis. There is ample scope for innovation in survey and experimental design, as well as developing novel measurement strategies. Join us and contribute to ground breaking research that can make a significant impact on agricultural practices in North India.

As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate strong statistical analysis and manuscript preparation skills, with a solid track record of refereed publications.  You should be able to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, possess excellent organisational and communication skills, and work collegially with other staff. Advanced computer skills, including experience with analytical software like Stata, R, or Python, are essential. Additionally, you will have experience with field data collection, experiments, survey design, and strong skills in applied micro-econometrics and causal inference.
