The Opportunity

The Faculty of Science at Monash University is committed to advancing research, teaching, and partnerships across five schools. With world-class researchers driving innovation in diverse disciplines, the Faculty contributes to shaping new knowledge and technologies. The ARC SRI Securing Antarctica’s Environmental Future (SAEF) program, led by Monash University, partners with over 25 organizations to address environmental challenges in the Antarctic region, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach to inform environmental policy and apply advanced technologies.

We're looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Program Officer to provide exceptional administrative and coordination support for the SAEF program. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the key point of contact for liaising with key stakeholders, ensuring seamless program deliverables, and assisting with impactful workshops, meetings, and reports.

You'll collaborate closely with our SAEF Leadership, playing a vital part in driving the success of the SAEF program and contributing to global efforts in Antarctic environmental stewardship. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree with extensive experience, management expertise in technical or administrative fields, or an equivalent combination of experience and education/training. You should have a proven track record in delivering high-level administrative support while focusing on service excellence and maintaining a high level of independence. Exceptional skills in planning, organisation, and communication, with the ability to effectively engage and influence diverse stakeholders. are essential to succeed in this role.
