About The Research Fellow Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Level B Research Fellow to contribute to a cutting-edge Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery project focused on forecast reconciliation. As a research-focused academic, you will engage in independent and collaborative research, developing expertise that enhances decision-making frameworks and optimises reconciliation processes in real-world business settings.

The project will be multidisciplinary in nature, cutting across statistics, econometrics, operations research and data science. Specific project outcomes relate to multiobjective optimisation, expected shortfall and conformal inference, while the production of open source software is critical to ensure that project outcomes are translated to industry practice. Candidates with skills aligned to the project, will be highly competitive and will relish the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their field

About You

You are a highly motivated researcher with a strong foundation in statistical analysis, manuscript preparation, and research proposal development, backed by a track record of refereed research publications. Your ability to work independently and within interdisciplinary teams enables you to drive impactful research while fostering a collegial and supportive environment. You possess excellent organisational, written, and oral communication skills, ensuring efficiency in project execution and academic engagement.

With your proficiency using analytical software such as R or Python, you are equipped to make a significant positive impact within our research team!
