The Opportunity
The Research Assistant will support the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) program by managing the application and admissions process, including engaging with applicants, coordinating interviews, and assessing submissions for program fit. The role will also contribute to program delivery by facilitating venture notes, setting objectives, maintaining communication with ventures and mentors, and providing research and financial assessments. In addition, the position will assist with the CDL course and contribute to the Centre’s engagement activities with industry and government stakeholders. As a Level A research-only academic, the successful candidate will also develop their research expertise through defined projects and contribute to the broader research effort of the University.
As the successful candidate, you will hold a Master’s degree in Commerce, Engineering or IT and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to produce clear and concise reports and documents. You will bring strong planning and organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise competing tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a collegiate environment. You will also demonstrate knowledge in applying AI and data integration, with the ability to connect structured data sources to large language models. In addition, you will have exceptional communication and relationship management skills that enable you to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
