The Opportunity
Join a leading research team driving clinical innovation in neuroscience and psychedelics-based addiction treatment. As the Senior Research Fellow (Clinical Trials Lead), you will play a key role in shaping and delivering phase 2 clinical trials investigating psilocybin treatment for addictive behaviours. Based within the Computational Neuroscience Laboratory and the Addiction and Impulsivity Research Group , this position offers the opportunity to lead all aspects of trial preparation and execution, including protocol development, psychotherapy coordination, database design and participant engagement strategies.
This position sits within a collaborative team of neuroimagers, modellers, psychedelic-based psychotherapy experts and clinical scientists focused on advancing personalised approaches to addiction treatment. The role will ensure that clinical trials are conducted to the highest scientific and ethical standards, in accordance with SPIRIT and CONSORT guidelines and Good Clinical Practice. The role also contributes to the production of high-quality publications, stakeholder reporting and the development of research capability through mentoring and team support.
We are looking for someone with a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline and substantial experience in clinical trial coordination—ideally including psychedelic studies—and research in addiction. A strong track record of publications and competitive grant success, along with experience supervising staff and students, is also essential.
If you are driven to contribute to high-impact research that improves lives and thrive in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment, we encourage you to apply and be part of this ambitious and innovative program.
