The Opportunity
The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Monash University is seeking a dynamic and innovative academic to join our growing team as a Senior Lecturer.
We are looking for a colleague with a strong research track record, a passion for teaching, and a collaborative spirit to help drive the continued success of our department.
About the Role
As a Level C academic, you will:
- Deliver undergraduate and/or Master’s coursework and contribute to curriculum design.
- Conduct high-quality, independent research in chemical and/or biological engineering.
- Supervise Honours and postgraduate research students.
Foster an inclusive and supportive academic environment.
Research Focus
We welcome applicants in all areas of chemical and biological engineering, particularly:
- Catalysis
- Biochemicals and biofuels
Biomedicine and therapeutics
- Sustainable energy technologies
Research with strong translational potential and/or use of facilities such as the ANSTO/Monash Advanced Characterisation Platforms will be highly regarded.
Who We’re Looking For
You will have:
- A PhD in Chemical, Biological, or a related Engineering discipline.
- A strong record of impactful research and scholarly publications.
- Experience in unit coordination and teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- A commitment to inclusive, student-centred education.
- Fresh ideas that enhance both research and teaching within the department.
