The Opportunity
Join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology as Senior Research Nurse Officer and play a key role in supporting the Ritchie Centre’s research operations at Monash University, based at Monash Health. The position supports translational research aimed at improving women’s, children’s and baby health through the coordination of patient recruitment, consent and clinical sample collection in line with approved protocols and ethics requirements.
This position oversees the delivery of complex research support activities, ensuring accurate data collection, sample integrity and compliance with ethical and regulatory standards. It manages research nurse staff through effective training, supervision and deployment, while maintaining quality control of documentation and databases. Working closely with scientists, clinicians and research committees, the role supports the safe and efficient conduct of research within a dynamic clinical environment.
We are seeking someone with a relevant degree, registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with AHPRA and current Good Clinical Practice certification. Expertise in research coordination, project management and clinical sample collection is essential, along with strong organisational and leadership skills. Proficiency in phlebotomy and experience managing and developing research teams are also required.
