The Opportunity

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and converting opportunities that strengthen the Faculty’s partnerships and profile. You’ll cultivate strong connections with industry and community partners shaping proposals and initiatives that align with the Faculty’s strategic priorities and strengths, and delivering outcomes that create sustainable financial, reputational, and social impact.

The Business Development Manager plays a critical part in advancing the Faculty’s growth objectives and supporting the broader Monash Impact 2030 strategy and other key strategic priorities. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow partnerships across education, research, and industry — nationally and internationally

  • Develop tailored proposals and tenders working closely with Faculty and University teams to carry out due diligence, risk assessments and contract development

  • Manage a portfolio of projects to ensure outstanding partner experiences and impactful outcomes

  • Collaborate across Faculty and central portfolios to drive cross-functional initiatives and maximise strategic value

  • Monitor and report on opportunities, providing insights and reporting to inform continuous improvement

  • Build the Faculty’s profile contributing to promotional activities, events and engagement initiatives that position Monash as a partner of choice for industry and community
