The Opportunity
The Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, is seeking an exceptional Research Fellow – Acoustic Sensing to join an innovative and collaborative research environment.
In this exciting role, you will contribute to a cutting-edge project focused on the design, development and real-world demonstration of specialised acoustic sensing technologies. Working at the intersection of engineering innovation and applied research, you will play a key role in advancing sensor performance through hands-on experimentation, technical design and data-driven insight.
Your work will span engineering design and testing, laboratory and field experimentation, trial coordination, advanced data analysis, and research administration. You will plan and conduct experiments, operate specialised equipment, develop and implement experimental procedures, and support project delivery through effective scheduling and computational analysis.
This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced technologies, contribute to impactful research outcomes, and collaborate with leading experts in a dynamic technical environment. All work is conducted within a safe, compliant and professionally managed research setting aligned with institutional and regulatory standards.
