About the Role

Reporting to the Head of People Services & Remuneration, this role leads the People Services & Support function, the primary HR contact for ABC employees, including responsibility for the employment contracts unit. You’ll set clear service standards and lead a national team of to deliver reliable, high-quality support across people policies, processes and systems.

You’ll coach and develop your team, manage performance, resolve issues and lead service improvements, while project managing changes to HR processes and systems. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll balance strong day-to-day delivery with longer-term improvements that simplify ways of working, build capability and make people information easy to access and understand.

About You

You’re an experienced HR services leader who understands how to run and continuously improve a people help desk function. You balance structure with empathy, bring a strong service mindset, and enjoy making complex processes simpler and more effective.

You’re a confident people leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages competing priorities with ease and focuses on solutions. You’re hands-on when needed, strategic when it counts, and committed to creating an inclusive, respectful workplace.

You will bring:

  • Strong experience in HR services, HRIS, policy and process improvement
  • Proven leadership experience developing and supporting small teams
  • A customer-first mindset with the drive to deliver practical outcomes
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • A genuine commitment to the ABC Values and inclusive ways of working
