Graphic Designer

The Position

As a Graphic Designer at World Vision Australia, you’ll harness your creative power to craft bold, boundary-pushing visual stories that inspire action and drive meaningful change for vulnerable communities around the globe.

In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate with the Brand and Communications team—including the Office of the CEO—to deliver a diverse range of impactful design work.

Your creativity will help amplify WVA’s voice across living rooms, classrooms, boardrooms, cabinet rooms, and congregations nationwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop unique, bold, and on-brand visual concepts that challenge the norm and elevate our storytelling.
  • Design across a wide variety of formats and mediums, including digital graphics, infographics, motion graphics, editorial layouts, branding elements for social media, digital channels, print and edms.
  • Bring a creative lens to brainstorming sessions, adding visual perspectives to messaging and narrative development.
  • Ensure consistency across all design assets while exploring new ways to evolve the brand identity.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Stay ahead of design trends, tools, and techniques to keep our visual presence fresh and relevant
  • Work closely with the Brand Experience team and its dedicated designers to leverage and share best in class design work – and optimise integration

Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a designer who thrives on big ideas, embraces unconventional thinking, and has a passion for transforming complex messages into compelling, human-centered visuals.

In addition, you will have:

  • 3+ years professional experience in a junior or other role as a graphic designer
  • Experience of developing and producing original content for variety of channels
  • Proven high level of operational knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop)
  • Basic copywriting skills
  • Strong production management, trafficking and scheduling capabilities
  • Motion graphics/animation skills would be an advantage
  • Conceptual knowledge of HTML would be an advantage
  • Tertiary qualified in Graphic design, Digital Media or equivalent
