About the Role 

Join our Clinical Ethics Committee (CEC) as a Clinical Ethics Consultant, where your expertise will play a pivotal role in fostering ethically informed decision-making across the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). In this position, you’ll provide independent, expert analysis in bioethics, guiding our committee on a range of complex clinical and organisational issues. Your insights will help shape ethical practices and support our commitment to excellence in patient care.

As a key member of the CEC, you will facilitate discussions on clinical ethics matters, promoting collaboration and understanding among diverse stakeholders. About You 

We’re seeking a Clinical Ethics Consultant who is passionate about fostering ethical decision-making in healthcare. If you meet the following key requirements, we want to hear from you:

  • Qualifications: Hold a Master’s or PhD in ethics or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with expertise in negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Analytical Ability: Exhibit a strong capacity to analyse complex ethical issues and facilitate discussions on sensitive topics.
  • Experience: Practical experience in ethical advice and consultation within a healthcare setting, along with knowledge of ethical reasoning models and institutional ethics committee
