About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our Cardiology Unit (4Ew2), bringing a blend of experience, clinical expertise, and a commitment to professional growth. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality nursing services and develop from a competent to a proficient practitioner, while being accountable for your practice standards, delegated activities, and the mentorship of less experienced staff. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering consistent, coordinated care within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

As an ANUM, you will support the Nurse Unit Manager in leading and guiding the nursing team, ensuring the seamless delivery of patient care. You’ll take on a dedicated portfolio where you'll promote continuity of care, contribute to practice improvements, and support unit management functions like recruitment, rostering, performance management, and financial planning. About You

We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled nurse who meets the following key requirements:

  • Qualifications: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current practising certificate.
  • Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities, with a talent for working effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years’ post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse, with demonstrated skills in supervising less experienced nurses.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Associate Nurse Unit Manager role, relevant healthcare legislation, and quality improvement systems within healthcare settings.
