About the Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an Occupational Therapist, who is seeking a rewarding opportunity, to join the Older Persons Mental Health Service. Your role will focus on providing exceptional care and support to older adults experiencing mental health challenges.

The NALHN Older Persons Inpatient Services provides safe, high-quality patient centred care by ensuring the approach to service provision is trauma informed, recovery oriented and delivered within a therapeutic interdisciplinary framework.

The Occupational Therapist role provides comprehensive assessments and interventions for consumers who are experiencing concerns regarding occupational performance. Occupational Therapy adopts a sensory modulation approach to offer insight into an individual’s level of functioning and provide non-pharmacological recommendations for reducing distress, maximising functioning and enhancing meaningful engagement. 

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team, utilising your expertise in occupational therapy to assess and develop personalised treatment plans. You will play a vital role in promoting independence, enhancing quality of life and fostering a safe and nurturing environment for our clients.

To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
