At Port Lincoln Hospital, we’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our Eyre Ward A team. In this dynamic leadership role, you'll have the opportunity to guide and support a diverse team, enhance patient care, and contribute to continuous improvement in a vibrant and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As an ANUM, you will work closely with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care across the ward. You’ll assist with leadership duties, including:

  • Coordinating daily operations and ensuring continuity of care
  • Implementing practice changes and managing staffing, rostering, and leave
  • Mentoring and developing staff, including students and less experienced nurses
  • Managing performance processes and supporting team members in their professional growth

What we’re looking for

  • Current registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • At least 3 years post-registration experience, or classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
  • Experience in staff supervision and knowledge of healthcare legislation and quality improvement systems
