About the Role:

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will be integral in driving quality care and supporting the leadership of the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager (NMUM). This role offers a blend of clinical expertise and managerial responsibility, including developing your leadership skills and overseeing the implementation of best practice. You will be at the forefront of shaping care delivery and team development while ensuring a learning culture is maintained across the ward/unit.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering person-centred care and overseeing clinical outcomes.
  • Managing and supporting nursing staff, from recruitment to performance management.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Supporting change management processes and fostering a continuous learning environment.


Essential Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate.
  • At least 3 years post-registration experience or Clinical Nurse level.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring less experienced staff and students.
