 Are you a Project Manager looking to make a difference in Southern Adelaide's local research community? 

SALHN collaborates with Flinders University to generate breakthroughs in medical research.

About the role: 

Reporting to the Professor of Surgery, in this role you will establish the framework for a consolidated biobank that stores biospecimens for research, including the necessary ethics/governance frameworks and a sustainable business model.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Develop a business plan that will ensure a sustainable bioresource for researchers and provide a model for future research investment,
  • Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers,
  • Develop the ethics and governance frameworks for a consolidated Flinders Biobank and Biospecimen Collection that supports researchers from SALHN and Flinders University,
  • Develop processes that streamline biospecimen collection, processing, storage, inventory management and dispatch.

About you:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent,
  • Good Clinical Practice for Research Professionals (ACRP),
  • Ability to perform work of a very high standard,
  • Proven experience in establishing and/or maintaining a Biobank or bioresource facility.
