Are you a values-driven leader passionate about improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people? We’re seeking an Aboriginal Health Team Leader – Southern to guide a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team at Yorke and Northern Local Health Network.

In this vital leadership role, you’ll coordinate responsive, culturally respectful primary health care programs across community settings. You'll bring clinical or community health expertise to lead service planning, staff supervision, and culturally informed models of care. Working in close partnership with Aboriginal communities, you’ll ensure services reflect their needs, values and strengths.

You'll also oversee service delivery, reporting, and continuous improvement, while mentoring a team committed to inclusive, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a multidisciplinary Aboriginal Health Team

  • Coordinate culturally safe, community-led health programs and services

  • Develop partnerships, promote community engagement, and drive workforce development

  • Monitor service delivery, manage resources and lead quality improvement

  • Contribute to strategic planning and health system reform

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant Allied Health or Nursing qualifications for RN3 or AHP3 level

  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

  • Proven experience in Aboriginal health, community engagement or service management

  • Commitment to cultural respect and community-led health approaches

Please note this role is multi-classed as AHP3 or RN/RM3 or ASO6 and classification will be determined by qualifications held.

Salary:

  • RN3 $125,183 - $130,779 p.a + superannuation + leave loading + salary sacrifice benefits
  • AHP3 $104,180 - $111,746 p.a + superannuation + leave loading + salary sacrifice benefits
  • ASO6 $98,478 - $104,165 p.a + superannuation + leave loading + salary sacrifice benefits

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check and appropriate immunisation requirements:

  • DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check
  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category B
