About the Role

The Senior Physiotherapist, SABIRS Concussion Clinic is an experienced and highly competent clinician who as a member of the interdisciplinary team, delivers quality, short-term services to Concussion Clinic patients within SA Brain Injury Rehabilitation Services, and clinical/professional leadership in the area of mild traumatic brain injury to physiotherapists working within SA BIRS, across Central Adelaide Local Health Network and South Australia.

The Senior Physiotherapist autonomously delivers highly-effective, patient-centred, goal-based physiotherapy services for patients with complex concussion presentations. The role is based at Repat Health Precinct and Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, including on-site, telehealth and aquatic physiotherapy. There may also be opportunities to work in community rehabilitation at BIRCH (Brain Injury Rehabilitation Community & Home), or inpatient rehabilitation in BIRU (Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit).
The Senior Physiotherapist may represent physiotherapy and broader allied health services on committees and working parties responsible for development of models of care, patient pathways, and implementation of CALHN and SA Health initiatives as required. There may be exciting opportunities to participate in research in the SABIRS team.

About You

You are an experienced and highly skilled Physiotherapist with a passion for delivering person-centred care and clinical leadership in brain injury rehabilitation. You demonstrate strong collaboration skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to influence service development and quality care outcomes.

  • Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and possess extensive clinical experience relevant to post-concussion rehabilitation.

  • Proven ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate physiotherapy services for clients with complex needs across home, community, and outpatient settings.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to support, mentor, and guide physiotherapists while contributing to service improvement and model-of-care development.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the capacity to represent physiotherapy or Concussion Clinic in committees, working groups, and service initiatives.
