About the Role

As an Administrative Services Officer within the South Australian Prison Health Service (SAPHS), you will play an integral role in supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to adults in custody across South Australia. Working as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will provide confidential and efficient administrative support, assist with patient administration processes, and ensure accurate and secure management of records and information. Your professionalism and strong communication skills will help maintain a welcoming and responsive service environment for staff, health partners and stakeholders.

In this vital position, you will work closely with the Patient Administration Services Manager, Administrative Services Manager and site Nurse Unit Manager, delivering front-line administrative duties, accurate coordination of records across SAPHS sites. You will uphold strict confidentiality, ensure timely transfer of medical information, and contribute to smooth clinic operations while supporting the organisation’s commitment to providing equitable healthcare aligned with community standards.     Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels, support team environments, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
