WHAT ARE WE OFFERING?

This Physiotherapist - Paediatrics role offers the opportunity to deliver a comprehensive and integrated range of services responsive to the needs of the local community. Working under reduced clinical direction, you will apply professional expertise and judgement to provide high-quality services across diverse service settings, while contributing to workload management and team resource allocation.

You will be supported to pursue continuous professional development, participate in supervision and mentoring processes, and contribute to research, service evaluation, and quality improvement activities. As part of a multi-professional team, you will promote service integration, cultural safety, client-centred practice, and continuous improvement, ensuring services are effective, equitable, and aligned with organisational standards and values.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Are you a Physiotherapist with experience or interest in Paediatrics?
  • Do you have developing generalist and/or specialist clinical knowledge and the ability to manage increasingly complex clinical presentations?
  • Are you ready to work under reduced clinical direction while contributing to supervision, service development, and quality improvement?

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive paediatric physiotherapy services tailored to community needs.
  • Apply professional judgement and increasingly complex clinical skills across a range of service settings, including individual, group, and health promotion activities.
  • Work within a multi-professional team using preventative, early intervention, treatment, and evaluation approaches.
  • Contribute to supervision of less experienced allied health professionals, assistants, and students.
  • Support quality improvement, research, service development, and evidence-based practice initiatives.

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?

  • You will need to be immunised. Please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries. Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy. Further information is in the application for to help guide you. 
  • You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
  • You must hold a recognised qualification within the Physiotherapy profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association.
