Join CALHN’s Care of the Older Person and Community Transition (COACT) team and make a meaningful difference, supporting older people from hospital to recovery. Work within the tranquil, leafy surrounds of Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre in a welcoming, team-focused environment.

About the Role
As a Senior Support Services Officer, you lead a responsive, high-quality support service across clinical areas. You build strong team connections, uphold safety and service standards, and play a key role in patient care, site security and smooth daily operations.

  • Deliver personal care that supports dignity, comfort and wellbeing
  • Transfer patients safely using equipment and manual handling
  • Coordinate with nursing and site teams to meet care needs
  • Guide staff, share knowledge and support capability uplift
  • Monitor alarms, patrol site and maintain a safe environment
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies and behavioural risks
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and operational logs
  • Drive safe work practices, quality improvement and service standards

You’ll work a Monday to Friday roster across day and afternoon shifts (7am–3.30pm and 9am–5pm), offering variety and balance in your week.

About You

You’re a calm, capable professional who takes pride in supporting others. You build trust, work well with others and bring sound judgement, care and a strong focus on safety and service every day.

  • Must hold AQF Certificate III relevant to the role
  • 560+ hours in-service experience in care settings
  • Build rapport and communicate well with diverse people
  • Work well in teams across clinical and support services
  • Use initiative, prioritise work and handle complex situations
