About the Role

Join a dynamic and supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients with kidney disease and kidney failure. As a Clinical Fellow in Nephrology with the Central Northern Adelaide Renal and Transplantation Service (CNARTS), you will provide care at a junior consultant level, managing patients with CKD or requiring dialysis and transplantation. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance your expertise in a specialised area of nephrology (to be negotiated), while working alongside experienced consultants in a multidisciplinary environment.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, you will engage in a substantive quality improvement or research project in collaboration with senior nephrologists, contributing to advancements in service delivery, clinical care or scientific knowledge. Your role will also include active involvement in the supervision, education and training of junior doctors, fostering the next generation of nephrology specialists. This position is ideal for a motivated clinician seeking to refine their skills, expand their research portfolio, and make a meaningful impact in patient care within a leading renal service.

About you

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Fellow in Nephrology who is committed to excellence in patient care, research, and education. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  1. Qualifications & Experience – FRACP with advanced training in Nephrology and at least one year as a Nephrology Registrar in a tertiary-level Renal Unit.
  2. Clinical Expertise – Demonstrated competence in renal medicine as expected for a junior consultant level, with a strong commitment to quality improvement and safe practice.
  3. Professional & Personal Attributes – Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills, with the ability to recognise limitations, adapt to change, and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Knowledge & Integrity – A sound understanding of renal medicine and fundamental medico-legal issues, along with a high level of professional integrity and respect for colleagues.
