The Enrolled Nurse roles within the Emergency Department offer the opportunity to provide high-quality care in a dynamic and rapidly developing health service.
Southern Fleurieu Health Service opened a brand-new facility in November 2025, and we are now expanding our workforce to meet the needs of our growing community.
This role offers the opportunity to provide nursing services within a dynamic health service setting. Develop from a novice to a proficient practitioner, consolidating your knowledge and skills through continuous professional development and experience.
We are a supportive, engaged, and growing team that invests in our staff. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic nurses to expand and diversify our Emergency Department workforce.

- Do you hold, or are you eligible to hold, registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia?
- Do you have a passion for providing compassionate, person-centred care to patients and their families?

HOW WILL YOU CONTRIBUTE?
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care, including assessments and routine clinical procedures
- Work under direction of a Registered Nurse to plan, prioritise and complete care within scope
- Provide person-centred care and education to patients, families and carers
- Support team-based care, including supervising assistants, students and contributing to staff development
- Contribute to quality improvement, research activities, and evidence-based practice
- Actively pursue ongoing professional development and continuous learning

WHAT ELSE DO YOU NEED TO KNOW/WHAT IS ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS?
Working in this environment, it is important to us that we only employ people with the upmost integrity and commitment to serving the South Australian community and its visitors to the highest possible standards. To ensure that we meet that commitment there are a few checks that you will be required to undertake. These are detailed on the Role Description, but are likely to include the following:
- You will need to be immunised. Please contact the Enquiries Person for this position if you have any queries. Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy. Further information is in the application for to help guide you.
- You will need to undergo employment screening, what you require is also on the front page of the Role Description.
- You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- To be eligible for appointment as a Clinical Nurse (CN), applicants must apply for a Clinical Nurse position and provide evidence of either personal reclassification within Emergency through SA Health or equivalent interstate recognition. Or currently hold an equivalent position within SA Health or the speciality.
