Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) – Medical Practitioner

• The Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide SA 5000
• MDP2 – $99,707–$158,523 p.a. + super + salary packaging
• Full Time – 38 hours per week

Term of the Contract: 3 years (in line with clause 55 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement). At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to assist find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3-year contract, if necessary.

About the Role

Join the Anaesthesia team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and provide safe, high-quality care for patients undergoing complex and emergency surgery. Working closely with Consultants, Nurses, and Allied Health professionals, you will support patients in the Advanced Recovery Room Care (ARRC) and contribute to PARC Clinical Research.

• Deliver safe anaesthetic and peri-operative care
• Review patient care and help strengthen clinical quality
• Contribute to postgraduate and departmental teaching
• Support continuing education across the department
• Develop and conduct anaesthesia research initiatives
• Promote research through PARC Clinical Research
• Maintain clinical standards, policies and procedures

About You

You are a collaborative Medical Practitioner committed to safe, high-quality patient care, with the clinical judgement and communication skills to thrive in a multidisciplinary environment.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Bring postgraduate experience in general patient care
• Apply sound clinical standards and appropriate patient care
• Communicate clearly and work well in multidisciplinary teams
• Commit to ongoing professional development and quality care
