Overview:

The Admin Assistant is accountable to the Nurse Unit Manager – Metropolitan Referral Unit (MRU) in providing administrative support to the Metropolitan Referral Unit Team, including a confidential administrative assistant role to the Program Director – Nursing Director, MRU.

The Admin Assistant will have a very close working relationship with the MRU Clinical team and Business Manager and will be required to liaise with relevant staff and business units on a regular basis.

The Admin Assistant is responsible for:

  • Providing an administrative service to the Metropolitan Referral Unit team, internal/ external stakeholders, business units and service providers.
  • Assisting with enquiries, including resolving issues, and escalating to the Nurse Unit Manager or relevant area, where necessary.
  • Using IT systems to provide timely and accurate processing of data entry and records management.
  • Working collaboratively with the MRU team to provide an effective and efficient service.

Criminal History Screening Requirement

  • A ‘National Police Certificate’ NPC (also known as a ‘Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check’ NCCHC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position (E.g. aged care employment or work involving vulnerable clients)?
  • A ‘DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC)’ required for this position.

Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact).
