About the Role
La Trobe University is seeking an exceptional leader for the role of Associate Director, Enterprise Architecture within the Digital Strategy and Engagement division. Reporting to the Director of Digital Strategy and Engagement, this role is pivotal in designing and executing our architectural frameworks to enable cutting-edge solutions that drive efficiency, security, and sustainability.
This is your opportunity to lead a team of architecture professionals and collaborate across diverse internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the successful alignment of business and technology strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the University’s enterprise architecture strategy in line with broader organisational goals.
- Team Management: Mentor and lead a high-performing architecture team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Architecture Development: Oversee the development of robust, scalable, and secure architectural solutions across domains.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively collaborate with senior management and academic teams to meet their architecture needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay at the forefront of industry trends, driving the adoption of innovative practices and technologies.

You excel in leadership roles and have proven expertise in developing enterprise-wide architectural frameworks that deliver measurable outcomes. Skills & Experience Required:
- Extensive experience in enterprise, solution, and technology architecture with a strong understanding of frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Proficiency in architecture modeling tools, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the higher education sector is advantageous.
